- Our school welcomes approximately 660 students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 each year.
- We offer full-day bilingual Kindergarten, the Regular English program with Core French, and the Early French Immersion (EFI) program.
- When our students complete grade 8, most attend West Carleton S.S. Our students also have the opportunity to apply to attend Canterbury H.S. (Arts specialization), Bell H.S. (Gifted program) and Colonel By S.S. (IB Program).

Huntley Centennial P.S. is located in the Village of Carp. Parents, grandparents and community volunteers participate in school activities, such as student reading, fundraising events, field trips, sporting events, to name a few.
The Huntley Centennial School Council is an enthusiastic volunteer group of parents, teachers and administrators, dedicated to strengthening educational opportunities and partnerships with the community.
- Each of our classrooms include technology devices and a projection device with interactive whiteboards.
- Our facilities include two gymnasiums, a recently updated library rich in fiction and non-fiction books, and a teacher literacy and numeracy resource room.
- Our Arts room houses our collection of African and International drums, many other percussion instruments, Ukuleles, and a wide range of other resources used for dance, drama and music instruction.
- We also have a large outdoor yard with a play structure; soccer fields, a basketball court, and a separate kindergarten yard and play structure.
Academic Programs
Huntley Centennial P.S. offers a dual-track program with:
- Regular English program, Junior Kindergarten (JK) to grade 8
- Early French Immersion, Senior Kindergarten (SK) to grade 8
All kindergarten programs in the OCDSB are 50% English and 50% French. After kindergarten, families will choose either a regular English program or an Early French Immersion (EFI) program for their child.
Special Education and ESL Programs
Huntley Centennial P.S. offers a Special Education team including Learning Support Teachers, Learning Resource Teachers and Educational Assistants to work with staff and students to support learning.
Clubs and Activities
Our students have an opportunity to take part in a wide range of extra-curricular sports and activities each year.
- Sports offered can include cross-country running, football, basketball, volleyball, soccer, bordenball and track & field.
- Special activities for the entire school body are organized each year and have included the Terry Fox run and Outdoor Sport or Activity Days.
- Throughout the years, Huntley has offered numerous clubs and groups for our students. These include choirs, a school musical, Drum Circle, Instrumental Band, yearbook, the Dragonfly EarthCare group, and the Garden Club to name but a few.
